Client Relationship Manager – China Desk

Key responsibilities

  • Generate leads through established channels as well as prospecting through direct marketing;
  • Provide financial solutions to meet client needs and offer a range of services to address clients’ requirements;
  • Ensure conformity with global and market standards of service, regulatory compliance and front-office procedures;
  • To display an understanding of fiduciary responsibility in order to protect the client, yourself, the team and the business.
  • To provide and maintain a day to day operational contact for key or sensitive clients to discuss and deal with any operational issues.
  • Actively promote the Dolfin brand, introducing all relevant services to clients;
  • Work closely with the Asset Management and Trading desks;
  • Liaising with clients to communicate the company’s, AML and on-boarding requirements and procedures including distribution, explanation and full or partial completion of any relevant on-boarding documentation (forms, agreements, etc);
  • Collection of any applicable supporting documentation/KYC and management of any such information/documentation;
  • Preparation of monthly regulatory reports which are disseminated by the team;
  • Assisting the Head of China Desk with keeping up to date with new regulations;
  • To assist other members of China Desk from time to time when needed
  • Provision of full account details, explaining framework arrangements and other formalities once relationship successfully opened with Dolfin;
  • Assisting in on-going monitoring of existing clients
  • Acting as main point of contact for clients for daily queries or requests (e.g. Dolfin Portal, valuations, payments, trades, static data changes) when needed
  • Assisting preparation of client pitches and presentations
  • Prospect new buy-side client opportunities through a deep understanding of client requirements;

Individual Criteria

ESSENTIAL: Solid educational background in Finance, Banking, or Fund Management

ESSENTIAL: CISI Level 4 IAD equivalent

ESSENTIAL: Strong knowledge of regulations, financial market, customer behaviour in both UK and China

ESSENTIAL: Fluency in Mandarin – at bot verbal and written level

ESSENTIAL: Fluency in English – at bot verbal and written level

PREFERRED: More than 2-year experience in Private banking or Wealth management

NICE TO HAVE: Track record of successfully building and maintaining a client base

NICE TO HAVE: A strong existing book of institutional and private clients which is transferable and/or a viable business plan to grow Dolfin China Desk business;
