Purpose of job

Risk & operations monitoring and reporting

Reports to

Head of Risk

Key duties

  • Monitoring each fund’s market, liquidity, credit, counterparty and operational risk
  • Ensuring that each fund’s risk profile is consistent with its risk guidelines
  • Drafting (where required or directed), implementing and maintaining effective risk management policies and procedures to identify, measure, manage and monitor all risks relevant to each fund
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance of the sub-investment manager with the risk guidelines
  • Monthly reporting updates to the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee on compliance with the risk guidelines and the effectiveness of the relevant risk management profile and related procedures
  • Monthly reporting updates to the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee on each fund’s current risk profile and any actual or likely breaches of the risk guidelines
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining a robust, compliant risk management framework
  • Identifying risky areas of trade and management of trade limits
  • Monitoring of trades to ensure funds are not taking excessive risk
  • Trade processing including matching, confirmations and settlement
  • Confirmation of transfers including remittances
  • Reconciliations and cash management

Other duties

  • P&L revaluation
  • Maintaining valuations/exchange rates
  • Updating transactions data
  • Updating and verifying valuations
  • Producing management level reporting
  • Initial point of contact to and for fund management team in London
  • Provide ad-hoc support for the smooth functioning of the office as directed/required
  • Other duties as required from time to time

Skills & abilities

  • Understanding of a wide range of financial instruments
  • Good knowledge of general accounting principles with a particular focus on performance reporting and attribution analysis
  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects
  • Self-motivated, personable with excellent communication skills


Experience working in the finance industry and/or interacting with local regulatory agencies
