Last half term, Dolfin COO Amir Nabi attended the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice race night, an evening of fundraising organised by the Grimsdell Parents Association (GPA), part of Mill Hill School in London.
Over £2,500 was raised on the night. With guests staking money on which horse they thought was going to win one of the pre-recorded races played out on the big screen. With the aid of some poor betting tips and horse choices Dolfin COO Amir Nabi was able to donate even more to this worthwhile cause! Event organiser, the GPA, commented: “Thank you so much to all those who came along and supported the Race Night Dinner at the end of last half term, and to our generous sponsors Dolfin, we raised over £2.5K! Brilliant night!”
The hospice helps seriously unwell children and their families make the most of the special time they have together.
This is the latest in a series of initiatives supported by Dolfin looking to help the younger generation, a driving force behind much of Dolfin’s charity work which has included taking part in the inaugural Time to Shine Gala, supporting the Muscle Warriors with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and raising funds for the Muscle Help Foundation by completing both the Three Peaks Challenge and more recently, the Tough Mudder.
Nabi commented; “We are proud to be associated with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, which was set up in 1999 to provide clinical, emotional and practical support to families across North and Central London and Hertsmere.” The hospice helps seriously unwell children and their families make the most of the special time they have together. The majority of babies and children they support are unlikely to reach their 18th birthday.
